Subaru has cleared its intentions to launch the production model of the Exiga Concept it showed at last years Tokyo Motor Show. This confirmation comes by the way of official Exiga wagon teaser image released by Subaru along with the launch of its micro-site (in Japanese). Impreza based Exiga is a 7-seater, three-row minivan which Subaru is going to launch on June 17th in Japan. No information is yet availble about the possible powerplant options that might be available on the road-going version of Exiga MPV. But one of the likely engine trim could be the turbocharged 2.0L horizontally opposed boxer-four engine which powered the concept version of Subaru Exiga.
Expected to slotted between the Forester and the Legacy models, the new Subaru Exiga might proce to be a tough rival for the upcoming Toyota Venza. More details will emerge near the launch date.
