Ford has launched a new top-of-the-line version of its highly successful Mondeo in Europe. Named as the Ford Mondeo Titanium X Sport, the new addition is available in either a five-door hatchback or an estate (wagon) body-style. Buyer can choose from two engine options, with both mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission.
One is Ford's 220PS 2.5L turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine which is straight out of the current Ford Focus ST and the other is the new 175PS 2.2L four-cylinder TDCi turbo-diesel.
Being touted as a possible replacement for the the performance ST model, the new Titanium X Sport Mondeo comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, twin chromed exhaust tailpipes, body-colored side skirts and a sporty interior with red stitching on leather/alcantara seats. The aluminium trim is replaced with stylish piano black inlays.

The Titanium X Sport is fitted with many standard features including an in-dash Sony six-CD changer, automatic bi-xenon headlights, front and rear park assist, Bluetooth connectivity with voice activation, rain sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control and Ford Power start button. It comes with a base price tag of £23,355 for the five-door hatchback and £26,605 for the wagon.
