Update On New 2009 Acura TL

Earlier in April this year, Honda was said to have shown the production model of new 09 Acura TL to some of its top dealers. Since then we have been waiting for some spicy details to leak on to the web and finally it seem to have happened. 2009 Acura TL will come in 3 model trims 3.5L, 3.5L sh-awd and 3.7L sh-awd is what one of the guys at vtec.net has revealed.

According to him, "the car was shown in new orleans april 11th to acura dealer body" and will be released in the market by September end. He says that he, "saw the car....3.5 w/280hp and 3.7 w 305hp....no mention of "S" Type at all.....the front and rear of the car in no way resembles the present car or TSX...larger than the present TL and present Accord....it is as drastic to the persent TL as the present TL was to the '03 TL.....20G hard drive on board for personal music recording ...push button start....".

He further adds that, "...rear lights on the '09 TL are a cross between civic 2 dr and camry....bold...tilted a bit down toward center...red lenses top and bottom ...clear back up in the middle but taper extensively around the side almost to the back of the c piller..the car looks sleek from the side yet agressive, angular from front and back ".

Now how authentic or accurate this info is will only be known in September when Honda raises the curtain to reveal its 2009 Acura TL. One thing we can assure you is that lot of more details & pictures are going to get revealed much before the actual debut of new Acura. So stay tuned for more.

2008 Audi A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro : The New Diesel Concept

Audi has revealed the intial details and pictures of its latest concept car, the 2008 Audi A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro Concept. It will make its debut later this month at the 27th annual Lake Worther Tour in Austria. The 2.0-liter TDI unit under the bonnet of the new Audi A3 diesel makes 165 kW (224 hp) of horsepower and musters up 450 Nm (331.90 lb-ft) of torque – the sort of pulling power normally associated with a sports car.

According to Audi, its A3 TDI clubsport quattro can race from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in just 6.6 seconds and attains a top speed of 240 km/h (149.13 mph). Exterior components such as the large DTM-look rear spoiler and the bolt-on wheel arch extensions give the car a dynamic air, while the racing bucket seats, the open gear lever gate in aluminum and and Audi’s characteristic flat-bottom steering wheel form the highlights of the interior.

The show car is a true high-tech sports car. Already lowered by 1.3 inches, the Clubsport Quattro concept has a mean stance thanks to a widened track (1.3 inches in front; 1.8 inches out back), bolt-on fender flares and 20-inch alloy wheels. Audi has packed the car with a six-speed transmission and the quattro all-wheel-drive system. At the front wheels, stopping power is provided by six-piston brake calipers and ceramic discs.

The Audi drive select driving dynamics system allows the driver to vary at will the throttle response characteristic, the exhaust sound, the level of power assistance for the steering, the cut-in thresholds for the ESP stabilization system, as well as the operating mode of the dampers that deploy Audi magnetic ride technology.

Special Edition Subaru Legacy STI S402 Debuts In Japan

The Subaru has launched STI tuned Subaru Legacy STI S402 for sale in the Japanese domestic market. This new limited edition model (only 402 unit to be made) is likely to be only for Japan and will be on sale from June 27th. The price for Subaru Legacy STI S402 station wagon version starts at 5,491,500 yen (US$52,471) while the base model of sedan variant cost 5.355 million yen (US$51,167).


Subaru Legacy STI S402 Specs & Features.
Both available body styles feature the same 2.5L turbocharged DOHC engine as the US and European Impreza STI's and develops 282 hp of power and 392 Nm of torque. All this power is channeled through a six-speed manual gearbox.

To make Legacy STI S402 limited edition special in both looks and performance, it comes equipped with the SI-DRIVE (Subaru Intelligent Drive), a re-programmed ECU plus a chassis upgrade including BILSTEIN suspension. New Subaru is wider by 20mm and gets a carbon-fiber front spoiler along with an exclusive 18-inch BBS alloys wheels and Bridgestone Potenza tires.

New 2009 Lotus Eagle Prototype Spy Photos & Video

Today we bring you the spy video of the Lotus Eagle protoype being tested at the Nurburgring, Germany. New Eagle will officially make its public debut later this years at 2008 London Motor Show. Sketchy details that can be seen in this heavily camouflaged Eagle video are its low front end, round brake lights and tail lamps that look very similar to ones doing service on the Elise/Exige.

The new mid-engined 2+2 Lotus Eagle sports car is expected to be priced at about £45,000 when it goes on sale in UK in spring of 2009 as a 2010 model. The new car fits in between the entry-level Elise sports cars and the upcoming Esprit. Inorder to decrease body mass and improve handling, there will be extensive use of aluminum in the body structure plus it will get a carbon fiber roof.

Just incase if you don't know Eagle is only a codename for this project and the production car will be christened another name.

New 2009 Ferrari California First Photos & Specs

The Ferrari has begun the party a week earlier than expected by revealing first official pictures and details of its long anticipated supercar. Please welcome the all new Ferrari California. Like other current Ferraris, this Pininfarina-penned 2-seater comes with aluminium fabricated chassis and bodywork and slots in just below the 612 Scaglietti.

The Ferrari California joins the Prancing Horse's 8-cylinder family and will be available exclusively as a convertible with an electrically powered folding hard top. The California will be powered by a new V8 engine mounted for the first time in the marque's history in the mid-front position.

The California's 4,300 cc V8 engine features direct fuel injection and a "flat" crankshaft. It generates 460 hp of horsepower at 7,500 rpm which allows the latest Ferrari sportcar to jump from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds The traditional Ferrari transaxle engine layout will be coupled to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission for improved ride comfort and reduced fuel consumption and emissions (c.310 g/km CO2).

The Ferrari California is also equipped with the exclusive F1-Trac traction control system which made its debut on the 599 GTB Fiorano along with Brembo brakes featuring carbon-ceramic material disks.

The car will be officially unveiled at the Paris International Car Show in September this year. However, over the coming weeks, new photographs and further details about it will also be released by Ferrari.
